Biden drops the F-bomb during health care bill signing
What can we say about Joe Biden. He adds a certain flair to any occasion (maybe he’s available for parties).
After introducing President Obama at the health care reform bill signing ceremony, Biden gave the president a hug and said, on mic, that “this is a big f*cking deal.”
No doubt, it is. But c’mon, Joe! Surely you can do better than that, especially after you just supposedly quoted Virgil.
Ironically, the veep referenced his gaffeish tendencies just seconds before:
Mr. President, I’ve gotten to know you well enough. You want me to stop because I’m embarrassing you. (Laughter.) But I’m not going to stop for another minute, Mr. President, because you delivered on a promise — a promise you made to all Americans when we moved into this building.
No big f*cking deal, though. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs tweeted, “And yes Mr. Vice President, you’re right…”
And the president apparently liked it, according to Politico:
Biden said Obama, at the morning presidential meeting, declared: “You know what the best thing about yesterday was? Joe’s comment.” Biden said Obama told him that he wanted a t-shirt made with the remark, but couldn’t get it in time.
Biden replied: “If you thought it was so good, why didn’t you say it?”
