Bringing Iraq war to ‘an irresponsible end’
During his address at West Point about the troop surge in Afghanistan, the president committed a flub when referencing the war in Iraq.
According to the White House’s official transcript, President Obama said this:
Today, after extraordinary costs, we are bringing the Iraq war to a responsible end.
But those watching, heard this:
Today, after extraordinary costs, we are bringing the Iraq war to an irresponsible end.
Simple slip of the tongue (those words are tough to pronounce), or Freudian slip?
